Martin County: Hindostan Falls
On Sunday Oct 7th, we headed down to the French Lick airport (in Orange County) to visit the Dooley family and see some sights in Martin County.
Isaac and I pulled out the 182 for the trip (with my new “airplane tug”).
The trip down was gorgeous – south central Indiana in the fall time is pretty from the ground, and the air. Note the changing colors of the leaves.
Heading into the airport.
At the airport, we were met by the Dooley family who provided transportation for us that day. But, prior to that, we did a little sightseeing with the kids.
Taking off to go see the Dooley house, and Lake Patoka
While we were out sightseeing, Angie, Isaac and mommy played at the airport.
Once done, we packed up into a couple of vehicles and set out for the sights of Martin County.
First up, Hindostan Falls. None of us knew anything about it, other than it was a landmark. Having visited Niagara Falls about 5 years ago, I can truly say that Hindostan Falls was pretty unimpressive.
After all of this excitement, we worked up an appetite and headed to BoMacs for some shakes, malts, and slushies.
That hit the spot.
Our day wound down, and we got dropped off back at the airport for a quick trip home. Looks like Isaac had enough too.
