Porter County: The Dunes
After a full day in Laporte County, we headed over to Porter County to see a few sights.
On the way we passed by a large generation station, with your typical looking nuclear reactor cooling tower.
We started the day at Central Beach, which was like Mt. Baldy - a self parking, free spot to get to the lakeshore.
After our visit, we headed over to the Indiana Dunes State Park, where again there was a $5 parking fee, and again, provided a much nicer beachfront. We spent quite a bit of time here, as Isaac was enjoying playing in the sand.
We wrapped up our beach play and went into the city of Chesterton to grab lunch at Jimmy Johns.
Calling it a morning, we left Porter County, and headed over to Lake County for a brief visit.
