Greene County: Tulip Trestle, Sculptor Guy House and Richland Creek Covered Bridge
We were heading over to Greene County for an afternoon of fun and we thought we would take advantage of the opportunity and visit some of the sites of county. As luck would have it, a few friends, Steve, Ian and Josie, gave as a guided tour of a few of the Greene County’s highlights.
Tulip Trestle or Tulip Viaduct was our first stop on our guided tour of Greene County. The trestle was one impressive bridge. It is the longest rail trestle in the United States (Wikipedia) and it is still used today.
Our next stop was the home of a sculptor guy who recycles materials into all kinds of interesting sculptures and art work. The sculptor is a friendly guy who loves to have visitors. Unfortunately, he wasn’t home so we didn’t get a chance to chat with him or get his name but he does live pretty close to the Tulip Trestle.
Finally, we headed over to check out the Richland Creek Covered Bridge.
Thanks for the tour Steve, Ian and Josie!
