Putnam County and Owen County: Cagles Mill Lake/Lieber State Recreation Area

We decided to make a quick pit stop at Cagles Mill Lake/Lieber State Recreation on the way to visit Grandma Cindy and attend The Little Italy Festival.

There was only one trail to hike at the park but it was a great length for the kids.  It also had a cute little covered bridge.

Then it was off to Cataract Falls, the largest waterfall in Indiana.

After a picnic lunch, we walked across another covered bridge and got a different view of the waterfall.

Isaac was not happy that we wouldn’t let him play in the water.

The lower falls are about a mile downstream.

It was a great place to spend a few hours on a beautiful Saturday morning.
