Ripley County: Versailles State Park

The first weekend of November, Aunt Natalie invited us to go hiking.  Caleb suggested we check out Versailles State Park.

We started off with a chilly picnic lunch and then headed off to Trail 3.

The park was deserted on this beautiful November morning.  The kids loved crossing Fallen Timber Creek.

The kids were doing great hiking so instead of just doing an out and back on Trail 3, we picked up Trail 2.  Trail 2 was hilly and wasn’t quite as scenic but the we still enjoyed the trail.  !

We made an obligatory stop at the playground after our hike before heading over to the dam.
