Jackson County: Jackson Washington State Forest

On a chilly late Spring morning, we headed down to Jackson Washington State Forest to hike somewhere new.

We decided upon Trail 6 which turned out to be a great choice.  There was plenty of elevation change on the trail,  at one point in time we had to use a downed log to cross a creek, we saw the remains of an old home, wandered down by a lake and crossed a boardwalk.

According to my phone, the trail was a bit longer then marked but was the perfect distance for the day.  We’ll definitely go back.
