Posey County: Harmonie State Park

We’ve been slowly trying to visit all of the Indiana’s State Parks.  Since we’ve visited all the ones close to our house, we decided to take advantage of Labor Day Weekend visit a couple farther away.  We also threw in a couple of more counties along the way since we were in that neck of the woods.

Our first stop on our four county Labor Day Weekend was Harmonie State Park.  Located in Posey County, Harmonie State Park borders the Wabash River and it fairly small compared to most of the other parks in the state.

Our first stop was the River Walk Trail to check out the Wabash.

Next up was Trail 2.

While the campground seemed nice, the trails needed some TLC.  We also made a stop at the Nature Center which the kids enjoyed. 

After a long drive and full day of activity planned, we were off to our next county.
