Kings Canyon National Park
National Park #5
In October 2018, we decided to visit Yosemite, Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. And we were going to do it all in 3 days! before finishing up our Fall Break at Disneyland. It was an ambitious plan with lots of driving but it was ah-mazing!
When planning this trip it seemed like a great idea to hit three national parks in three days. In retrospect, I wish we would have taken a bit more time in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.
Since the two parks sit adjacent to each other, they are often times grouped together. Our first stop was to pick up Junior Ranger books for Sequoia/Kings Canyon at the Kings Canyon Visitor’s Center.
Then it was on to the General Grant Tree Trail. The General Grant Tree is the third largest tree in the world and is the National Christmas Tree!
There are many named trees on the General Grant Tree Trail but you can walk through the Fallen Monarch.
After finishing up the General Grant Tree Trail it was on to Sequoia National Park.
