Montgomery County: Shades State Park

Over the Thanksgiving Holiday, we decided to take advantage of being close-ish and visit Shades State Park.

Since it was the Friday after Thanksgiving, we decided to participate in the #OptOutsideIN Scavenger Hunt. The scavenger hunt included things like playing on the playground, picking up trash, and getting a selfie with the entrance sign.

We started on Trail 1 to checkout Devil’s Punchbowl.

After the punchbowl we headed to the ladder trails, Trail 4 and Trail 5.

The scavenger hunt was a great bonus to our hike and we look forward to doing it again next Thanksgiving. We’re also looking forward to visiting Shades again.
