Dubois County – Ferdinand State Forest

We finished out our fire tower trifecta with a stop at the Ferdinand Tower in Ferdinand State Forest.

We opted to hike the Fire Tower Trail to the fire tower. To be honest, this trail was not a hit; it was hot, the trail was uphill and there were too many bugs and ticks. Luckily there was the fire tower and the trail wasn’t overly long at 2.6 miles for the roundtrip.

The fire tower was a little too rickety for Isaac so he and I chilled at the bottom.

Now it was off to rest before a day on fun at Patoka Lake.
