Tippecanoe County – Prophetstown State Park

Next up, Prophetstown State Park. Prophetstown State Park is Indiana’s newest state park and was established in 2004.

There are only 9 miles of hiking trails in the park. We decided to hike trail 3.

The trail took us along both the Wabash and Tippecanoe Rivers.

After our hike, we decided to check out The Farm at Prophetstown. This working 1920’s farm has lots of farm animals to visit with and a farmhouse to explore. I would definitely take a bit of time to check it out on your visit.

There is a Native American Village at the park, too. It was fun to wander around the prairie and explore the different buildings. We also learned about some of the history of the Prophetstown.

In addition to The Farm and The Native American Village, there are plenty of opportunities for biking within the park.
